Peterson Wedding

I have so many memorable moments with Val. Our wedding is among the best and it shows how Val was such a character who had such character.

Kristin and I were engaged Saturday, April 2nd and after some thought of planning a full-on wedding, we decided to run off to Vegas to be married the following Saturday, April 9. Anyone who can make it, come join us in Vegas was the idea.

Of course, Val was there.

Over the weekend, everyone had a blast. If you were there, you remember. If you weren't, believe it.

So many great memories, but the night of our wedding stands out. Kristin had been walking all over Vegas in high heels. When we were waiting in line for Cleopatra's barge, Kristin mentioned how her feet were killing her.

Unbeknownst to anyone, Val and Ash snuck off to the casino gift shop to find her more comfortable shoes. All they had were some objectively atrocious, rhinestone studded, Ceaser's Palace branded sandals. Ugly, but confortable and they did the trick.

It was such a thoughtful thing and I'll never forget it as an example of who Val is.
